ARRL Field Day

June 25-26, 2016.

ARRL Field Day is the single most popular on-the-air amateur radio event held annually on the 4th weekend in June in the United States and Canada.

Field Day is a training exercise for setting up emergency radio communications which would take place in an actual disaster. Field Day is also a contest to make as many contacts as possible.

Decatur County Amateur Radio Club will not be having a Field Day exercise. Three Hams from Perry County are setting up a Field Day exercise in Linden, TN. The Hams are KJ4TVS Ken, KM4WLD Bill and WA4RNN Brady. The event is located behind City Hall at the corner of Polk Ave and Church St. Stop by and check out the event and check out ham radio.
